DOP FRIULI COLLI ORIENTALI

This autochthonous variety of vine was known already in 1300 and it was discovered by Venetians in the Middle Ages in the Greek city of Monovasia also called Malvasia.

This valuable variety of vine was imported by Venetians in their own territories where it had a remarkable diffusion reaching all the area of the Mediterranean Sea.

In the wide family of Malvasie it distinguishes itself the Istrian one, which has found a good diffusion particularly in the hills south of Cividale del Friuli.

VINIFICATION:white wine making with soft pressing and fermentation at controlled temperature

FRAGRANCE:it is delicate and it tends toward the aromatic. It reminds the apricot, exotic fruit and white pepper
TASTE:structured aromatic wine, full-bodied and characteristic. In addition to a good acidity, the fatty note stands out. These two elements return a balanced and fresh wine
MATCHES WITH FOODS:it is fit for an aperitif. It is perfect with fish, lobsters, Norway lobsters, spaghetti with seafood
